Dr. Badr Al Shibani

An inexhaustible explorer, Badr has traveled to over 100 countries, constantly setting new goals for himself. In his personal philosophy, life is like a game in which you may not always win – but losing is failure only when you don't try again. Every setback in your journey is just another experience you must leverage on the road to success.

Alongside his professional career in entrepreneurship, Dr. Badr uses exploration and adventure as a practical approach to understanding leadership and decision-making in zero-margin-for-error environments, which has been reflected in his management style and the initiatives he leads.

His exploratory experiences include climbing the highest peaks in the world, undertaking long-distance treks across deserts, polar expeditions, and exploring caves and forests. A number of these journeys have been documented in cinematic works that were screened at international festivals.

Dr. Badr Al Shibani was proud to be selected, out of thousands of nominees, to bear the torch of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games held in London.
Badr has climbed the highest peak on each of the world’s seven continents, including Everest (Nepal), Aconcagua (Argentina), Denali (USA), and Kilimanjaro (Tanzania).
